The Age is reporting the Victorian Government will now longer allow horse owners and their guests at this years Cox Plate.
Earlier today, it was announced up to 1,000 people could be allowed to attend the Cox Plate to “respect the occasion”.

The decision has been reversed.
The state government has announced that up to 500 owners and connections will be able to attend this weekends Cox Plate at Moonee Valley.
In total, there will be 1,000 people in attendance.
Food and drinks service will be on-site but will be takeaway away.
As yet, there is no announcement about the Melbourne Cup.
