Need an excuse to not leave the house? This is it.

The Australian Reptile Park has released a warning to the public about an outbreak in funnel-web spiders. *shivers*

The deadly species thrives in dry conditions after wet weather and there have already been scares across Australia.

Pool owners have been urged to be extra vigilant after reports that a woman in Newcastle found a spider in her pool where the creatures can survive for up to 24 hours.

One bite from a funnel-web spider can kill in 10 minutes.
