A man who was speeding and drug-affected flipped his car on the Monash this morning.

According to police, the man was driving 100km/h in a 40km/h work zone between Toorak and Burke roads in Tooronga.

The 2012 VW Golf clipped another car at about 3.45am before flipping and skidding on its roof for 60m.

The 45-year-old Mulgrave driver was uninjured but tested positive to methamphetamine.

He is expected to be charged on summons.
