A severe weather warning has moved to the East of Victoria and is leaving high winds in its wake.
Damaging winds, averaging between 60km/h to 70km/h with peak gusts of 90 to 110 km/h are expected over coastal areas and the Alpine Peaks today.
The winds are also expected to hit the Frankston area.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony;
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
