A second Melbourne school has been closed after a teacher tested positive for Coronavirus.
Ultra orthodox Jewish school Yeshiva-Beth Rivkah College wrote to families saying:
“We write to inform you that further to our communication on Monday regarding the families that were identified as being on flight QF94 and the steps that were taken to send them home, we have now been advised that one of those people has come back with a positive test result for COVID-19,” principal Shimon Waronker wrote.
“The School Leadership Team has been in continuous contact with the Department of Health and been advised, for the safety and wellbeing of our community, to close the Yeshiva Centre for 24 hours whilst we make further assessments of the situation and the next steps to be taken.”
The school is now closed for one day and a further update will provided later.
