Red Rooster looks to be in dire straits as seven more of their stores suddenly closed down.

The branches, all on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, were put into voluntary administration on Monday, and the Administrator Robson Cotter Insolvency Group confirmed this. 

Some 100 staff were told their jobs were immediately cut and retail experts fear there could be more stores on the chopping block

The fast-food company has been doing it tough lately, struggling to compete and stay up to date with changing consumer preferences.
