A preschool in Sweden was put into lockdown this week when a child brought a live grenade in for show-and-tell, according to CNN.

The weapon was found in the evening, after the children had left and police were immediately called.

The bomb squad was then brought in and it was dismantled in a controlled environment at the kindergarten.

It’s believed the child picked the grenade up in a field used by the Swedish military for training exercises.

“The military uses these big open fields for exercises,” a police spokesperson said.

“But at certain times of year they are open to the public when there’s no shooting going on and people are told not to touch anything out of the ordinary.”
