If you live in Melton West, you officially live in Victoria’s obesity capital.

An analysis of the 2017-2018 Australia Bureau of Statistics report has found that more than one in two residents (53.9%) are overweight while Toorak has the lowest rate at 14.9%.

However, if you live in Ashburton, you are most likely to live longer than anyone else, with half living longer than 89 years.

Point Cook has the lowest age of death, with half dying before they get to 65 years old.

Professor John Glover at the Public Health Information Development Unit (PHIDU) at Torrens University said “These public health figures disturbingly reveal, yet again, the poorer health outcomes for people in our community who are most disadvantaged.’’
