Public transport strikes are set to cause chaos across the Australian Open, with V/Line staff now likely to strike in the same week as tram drivers.
The action which is led by the Rail, Tram and Bus Union will shut down the Geelong and Warrnambool lines for 24 hours on January 29.
Staff will also refuse to work any overtime on Mondays and Fridays, from January 31, which may are services delayed or cancelled.
Another 24-hour stoppage will shut down the Bendigo and Swan Hill lines on February 7.
It comes just days after the union announced team drivers will strike between 10am and 2pm on January 28 and 30, which means no teams will run across the city, or to the Australian Open in that time.
