V/Line services are running on an extreme heat timetable as the city swelters through a scorching day of high temperatures.
The Bendigo, Geelong/Warrnambool, Seymour, Traralgon/Bairnsdale line
Coaches are replacing trains in some areas and trip times could take longer than normal.
Trains are not able to operate between Bendigo and Swan Hill/Echuca and between Seymour and Shepparton/Albury. Coaches are replacing all Swan Hill, Echuca, Shepparton and Albury services for all or part of the journey.
Coaches are continuing to replace trains between Wendouree, Ballarat and Melbourne due to works on the Ballarat Line Upgrade.
Coaches are also replacing some evening Gippsland services due to train testing on the metropolitan network between Pakenham and Dandenong.
Due to the forecast temperature on Thurs 21 Nov, we are running an Extreme Heat timetable across the network. Journey times may be extended and some services replaced by coaches for all or part of the journey.
