The photos circling online of the devastating NSW bushfires certainly are powerful, but none more so than some of the videos that are surfacing of just how badly the fires have impacted our precious wildlife.

One heartbreaking video posted by The Koala Hospital Port Macqaurie shows a severely injured Koala being reused from bushfire affected area on the NSW mid coast.

According to the video’s caption, a man had been in the Bellangry State Forest when he found a koala who’s entire body had been singed by the fires.

In the video, the koala is seen gulping down the water from a cup that the man is holding.

“Bellangry State Forest (SF) Kate on the day she was found in burnt out country by Darrel,” they wrote in the caption.

“He may have got the sex wrong, but he did the right thing by gently capturing her using a big blanket and bringing her to us. Bellangry SF Kate has burns to hands, feet, face and full singeing of her body.

“She arrived very dehydrated and is now in the 5 star service burns ward at the Koala Hospital.”

The video has since been inundated with likes and comments from other heartbroken Aussies who can’t believe the devastation of these bushfires.

It is believed that more than 350 koalas have died in the fires so far. A GoFundMe page has since been created to help the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital save those that have survived and nurse them back to health.

The money will also be used to help distribute drinking stations throughout the bushfire regions across NSW to help our wildlife survive.
