There are reports of a crane fire at the Melbourne docks.

The ABC is reporting that the fire “is believed to be smouldering in a crane 40 metres above the dock,” and the MFB is climbing the crane to put it out.

Thankfully nobody is trapped.

“Firefighters in breathing apparatus and the DP World emergency response crews are currently climbing the crane to attempt to put the fire out,” Metropolitan Fire Brigade said.

“The fire is complicated by uninterrupted power supply on the crane, which needs to be shut down before water can be used.”

More as we get it.
