A popular ice cream cake that was sold nationwide has been recalled over fears that it could cause an allergic reaction.
The Bulla Ready-To-Decorate Ice Cream Cake Base 1.5L has had to be pulled from shelves as it contains soy, which was not declared in the ingredients on the packaging.
The affected product was sold from Woolworths and other Independent supermarkets across Australia and has a best before date of 24/03/2021.

“This is a food safety issue and anyone concerned about their health should seek medical advice” said the NSW food authority about the recall.
“Any consumers who have a soy allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed.”
Anyone who has an allergy or intolerance to soy should not consume the product and it should be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund.
Allan Hood, the chief executive of Bulla Dairy Foods, has said that the “safety and wellbeing of our customers is our number one priority”.
“We are working closely with our team to ensure this product is recalled quickly and efficiently through our distribution channels, together with investigating the cause of the labelling issue”.
