Australia could be set for a cockroach explosion

According to News.com.au, pet companies have seen a 30 per cent increase in requests to exterminate the critters this year.

Unusually hot and dry weather patterns across the country have created ideal breeding conditions and bushfires forcing them indoors.

Queensland and Sydney are set to be the state’s most affected by the cockroach boom, but with these weather patterns being seen all over the country, other states are certainly not out of the woods.

In order to do what you can to keep the roaches at bay, experts recommend keeping surfaces clean, fixing leaky pipes and checking wall cavities and roof voids that are perfect breeding spots.
