Domain has revealed Melbourne’s most and least liveable suburbs.

The website ranks suburbs based on 17 indicators like access to education, culture, public transport etc.

Coming out on top this year was South Yarra, which the study found performed “exceptionally well” in culture, trains, trams, employment and walkability.

It wasn’t perfect though, ranking among the top 10 for crime and road congestion.

And all the way at number 307, the lease liveable suburb in Melbourne…Lyndhurst.

The south-eastern suburb performed poorly in “nearly every category” – in particular access to buses and proximity to education where it ranked worst and second-worst respectively.

There was one silver lining however, landing in the top 10 for traffic congestion.
