Earlier this year, it was revealed that three Melbourne suburbs are getting the new German supermarket Kaufland.
They were Dandenong, Epping & Chirnside Park with a distribution centre being built Mickleham.
However, it now appears that Kaufland is also seeking approval for stores in Highton, Braybrook, Coburg North, South Morang, Narre Warren, Lyndhurst, Pakenham, Warrnambool and Kennington (near Bendigo).
There are also approved stores set to be built in Oakleigh South and Coolaroo.
It’s superstores, which they call ‘hypermarkets’ are way, way bigger than Aldi stores and focus more on ‘fresh food’ including an in-store bakery.
We cannot wait!
