The coronavirus outbreak has affected members of our community in many different ways. On top of the other factors we are constantly told about on the news, a lot of people are struggling with being lonely.

If you or someone you know happens to be in this boat and is in a position to take on some extra responsibility around the house, a dog can be the perfect companion during this period and for life.

There are SO MANY breeds that are small, don’t shed and are hypoallergenic that your partner or mother can’t say no!

Dogs are great for mental health, especially since we’re stuck inside at the moment, but remember they’re a responsibility!

They’re best friends for life and you have to look after them, so still carefully consider whether it is the right choice – and always check out the animal shelter to see if your new best friend is waiting there for you.
