Most households have a chip thief, responsible for not only pillaging the addictive salty treats, but also ruining them for others by not sealing the packet!
Soggy chips are the worst but there is an easy way to bring them back to life. The American Chemical Society says it’s all to do with chemistry. Apparently starch molecules suck water from the air making chips stale. But according to the American Chemical Society there is a quick fix.
It says chucking them in the microwave on high for 30 seconds will rid them of the water and make them crispy in seconds. Try it! It’s amazing! Remember not to put them in the microwave in the packaging though! You’re welcome.
