Coles have slashed their prices on one of their biggest products as the supermarket wars heat up!
Lamb has been cut by 30% across all their stores and its good news for everyone as the expensive meat is set to stay at these prices for the foreseeable future.
Whole lamb legs have been reduced from $15 to $10 a KG, while half lamb leg has gone from $15 to $11.
Cutlets and forequarter chops have also had their prices slashed.
“Meat is an absolute staple in our customer’s baskets so dropping the price on lamb is important to ensure our customers can afford great quality Australian meat,” Coles Managing Director John Durkan said.
Woolworths are not on board with Coles price slashes, however, saying they have already cut their costs.
“We kicked off the return of the affordable Sunday roast way back in July, so Aussies have been able to buy fantastic Sunday roasts (lamb legs) from $10 a kilo since then,’’ Woolies Steve Donohue said.
