Earlier this month, a bright orange ‘exotic’ bird was rescued by a couple of good samaritans, who took the amazing-looking bird to a nearby wildlife hospital.

Thing is, the exotic bird wasn’t exotic at all.

Turns out it was just a seagull that had managed to get completely covered in curry or turmeric.

“It was all over his feathers, preventing him from flying properly. We have no idea how he got into this predicament but thankfully, apart from the vibrant colour and pungent smell, he was healthy,” Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital said in a Facebook post.

Tiggywinkles posted that Vinny – named after Vindaloo curry – will be recovered enough for release “very soon!”

Although he looks annoyed AF, we think Vinny scrubbed up great!
