Just when you thought you’d collected all of the Coles Little Shop 2 mini collectables, the supermarket giant have just announced a surprise addition!

And just like all of the other items in the collection, its so cute! (And we must have it!)

The extra Little Shop item is a mini newspaper! And if you feel the same way, here’s how you can get your hands on one.

The mini newspapers will be on offer for free this weekend when you purchase a participating NewsCorp newspaper at any Coles supermarket around Australia.

The tiny paper has been printed with the Kids News masthead, which is an actual literacy resource for kids and teachers, and is designed to encourage your young ones to improve their reading skills.

“When we launched Little Shop 2 we said there would be some added features this year – we’ve had golden trolleys, golden collector cases, the chance to win bonus flybuys points using the mini Coles gift card, the Little Shop 2 dancing app and now the mini newspaper, said Coles Chief Marketing Officer, Lisa Ronson.

“We know that many parents and teachers are using the Little Shop 2 minis as educational tools to help kids with their numeracy skills. The new mini Kids News newspapers extend this learning and encourage children to enjoy reading and writing too.”

The original Little Shop 2 mini collectables are still on offer at Coles stores for every $30 you spend so if you haven’t completed your collection yet, there’s still time!

There’s also still 40 of their limited-edition gold trolleys still out there to find!
