Book Week is the ULTIMATE time for creative minds – with crafts galore, colourful costumes, and stories that never seem to end, it’s the perfect time to unleash your imagination!

And with this year’s theme, ‘Reading Is My Super Power’, its become incredibly important to figure out ways to capture that super power – and what better way than by dressing up!

These are the BEST costumes that could lead to some home inspiration for your own costume creations!

#1: Violet Beauregarde (Charlie And The Chocolate Factory)

Roald Dahl’s classic has been brought to the big screen a couple of times, but it’s the PERFECT story to get some costume ideas from.

#2: Thing 1 and Thing 2 (The Cat In The Hat)

Need a pair of costumes that really go well together?! Dr Seuss has got you covered!

#3: Super Heroes (Comic Novels)

Super Heroes come in all shapes and sizes, and there’s no better way to unleash your creativity than by draping a cape around your shoulders, slapping a super logo on your chest, and bursting into every room you enter.

#4: Princess (The 12 Dancing Princesses)

THIS fancy dress not just takes inspiration from the classic story “The 12 Dancing Princesses”, it literally brings the story to life!

#5: Wizard (Harry Potter Series)

JK Rowling has created an army of little wizards all over the world, and it’s understandable that you need a costume to go with your new magic abilities – so this one is for the ultimate Harry Potter fan!

⚡️Harry Potter⚡️ Book week is next week for Reed so we have been making sure we have every single detail of his costume is ready for his parade. We are both massive Harry Potter fans so it was a no brainer that this is who Reed wanted to dress up as. We watch the movies back to back to back and I can’t wait for Reed to be able to read the books next year when his reading is more developed. @bigwaustralia had all the necessary costume needs to deal Reed out in true Potter style complete with his Nimbus 2000. What book character are your kids dressing up as for Book Week? • • • • • • • • #bookweek #bookweek2019 #harrypotter #harrypotterfans #potterheads #bigw #bigwaustralia #perthkids #perthmums #mumsofperth #kidsofperth #perthevents #perthisokay #icwest #pottermore #harrypottercostume #dressupdaily #magicofchildhood #enchantedchildhood #kidsforreal #stopanddropmom #perthschools #bestofmom #discoverunder30k #discoverunder50k #potterverse #bookstagram #booksofinsta #bigwbooks #booksof2019
