TV fans were in a frenzy over the weekend when it was announced that the cast of Friends would be doing a reunion special. That’s right – Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc all together in the same room.
There aren’t too many details just yet, but we do know it is an unscripted special and will most likely be the group getting together to reminisce about the good old days.
While we wait with major anticipation, we wonder where we might be able to watch what will arguably be one of the biggest television events of the year.
Well, the reunion is being created for HBO Max, which is a streaming service owned by American network HBO. You got these guys to thank for mega shows like Westworld, Big Little Lies and Game of Thrones.
Whilst some HBO content does end up on free-to-air or other streaming providers time to time, its main partner in Australia is Foxtel.
With that said, there’s a really strong chance that the Friends special will end up on one of its channels and/or its own streaming service Foxtel Now.
Then again, Stan currently has all the Friends episodes available for streaming. Could the special end up there instead? We suppose we’ll have to wait and see!
Jase & PJ chatted about it on Monday morning…
