We’ve been seeing teaser after teaser but now it’s officially time to head back to paradise with a bunch of sexy singles and bring on the monk!

The highly anticipated second season of Love Island Australia has been given a start date and it’s so soon!

Love Island will officially premiere on Channel Nine on Monday October 7 but with a new time slot of 8:45pm (clearly to accommodate for all the expected MOOOOOON action).

Sophie Monk returns as host/cupid for the show as she brings a bunch of single lads and lasses into the Love Island villa with the hopes of finding love.

The format of the show will remain the same, where the singles must couple up in order to stay in the game. The temptation of newbies will also attempt to throw a spanner in the works of steady relationships.

At the end, one couple will be voted the winners of Love Island season two based on Australia’s vote, but similar to last year only one person in the pair will be given the opportunity to decide whether they want to take all of the prize money for themselves or split it.

Were they there for love or money all along?

Sophie Monk has said that she’s super excited to introduce us all to the new cast.

“I’m ridiculously excited to meet a whole new group of Islanders,” she said. “The cast is on another level this year. I’m hanging to watch my favourite show with you all and see gorgeous people falling in love.”

“My advice to Islanders?” Sophie continued. “Just be yourself, but from what I’ve heard… be prepared for some serious twists and turns!”

We can’t WAIT! This is like trashy reality TV at it’s finest and we couldn’t freaking love it more.
