American skydiver Luke Aikins has made it into history books with a stunt that will make you hold your breath!

The 42-year-old is the first man ever to jump from a plane at about 7600m (25,000 ft) without a parachute.

Aikins, an accomplished skydiver who has made 18,000 parachuted jumps performed the stunt over the weekend that was broadcast, live on Fox in the US.

A landing net about one-third the size of a football field and twenty stories high was ready to catch Luke after the two-minute plumage to the ground.
