This is potentially the most awkward TV moment of the year…

And of course, it happened when it was all on live television!

On Sunday night’s The Voice finale on Channel 9, you would not expect to see a full frontal nipple slip by one of the contestants.

Well, unfortunately, that is what happened to Tash Lockhart, one of the year’s four finalists.

Having just performed the Crowded House classic Don’t Dream It’s Over, she was completely unaware that the embarrassing wardrobe malfunction happened.

The young Queenslander was so focused on her post-performance interview that it was wasn’t even on her mind that something like it could happen.

A Channel 9 spokeswoman said ‘’It was live TV and we hope no one was offended.’’

Twitter users were straight onto the social media platform, either laughing or stunned by what had happened.

After all the performances had taken place, it was Sydney architect Alfie Arcuri was coined this year’s winner.
