Thanks to Beyonce’s recent release of ‘Lemonade’ empowering women everywhere, her songs from way back are getting lots of attention too.

However no song of hers will EVER be as powerful and catchy as Single Ladies.

It’s the only song that has to power to get all the women in the room with their hands in the air and singing like there’s no tomorrow.

However what you didn’t know about the 2009 video that’s been viewed more than 477 million times is this…

The iconic Single Ladies dance is actually NOT a Beyonce original!

In fact, choreographer Frank Gatson admitted the dance is base on another dance performed on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1969.

“Me and Beyonce saw it, and we thought ‘Wouldn’t it be great to modernize this'”.

Crazy huh?!?

But wait! There’s more…

Did you ALSO know that it took Bey about a month and a half to get the “Single Ladies” dance totally down pat.

OR that 100 women auditioned to dance beside Bey?

Get your groove on single ladies!
