Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll be well aware of the Miss Universe finale disaster that has taken the internet by storm.

However, just as the dissection and the memes were dying down, the hilarious Jane Lynch decided to give the scandal one last hurrah in a very public forum.

As she took the stage at the 2016 People’s Choice Awards, she announced that they were trying something new, and that she was giving away an award to someone who had previously never received one.

She then revealed that Reno 911 star and comedian Thomas Lennon would be receiving the accolade.

However, during the middle of his emotional speech, Jane interrupted him to apologise.

“First runner-up is Tom Lennon – the winner is Miss Colombia.”

She then took to the stage, sash and all to receive her prize.

Jane then took a stab at Steve Harvey’s various explanations as to why the wrong winner was announced by saying she didn’t make it to rehearsal.

“I read the card wrong,” she said. hahaha!

One for you, Miss Colombia.
