Looks like the show itself isn’t the only thing getting a reboot on The Hills: New Beginnings.
That iconic theme song that we all know and love, Unwritten by Natasha Begingfield, is getting a massive shake up.
But before you freak out – don’t worry Hills fans. The theme song isn’t being completely rewritten and you will still feel the chills when you hear the first few notes play out at the beginning of the show.
Instead, Unwritten has been given a bit of a modern facelift and has been remixed to suit the New Beginnings of 2019!
Bedingfield herself has teamed up with Linda Perry to produce the remixed version of the 2004 hit for MTV’s reboot of The Hills.
“‘Unwritten’ is on my very first record. I wrote the song and there was this feeling of, ‘Wow, I couldn’t say it any better’,” Bedingfield says in a teaser video for the new song.
Natasha tells her fans that creating the remix was super fun to do and she actually re-recorded all of the vocals in it.
“I wanted to re-sing it,” she continued. “I wanted to take where I’m at now, kind of give it that new spin.”
The full remix of ‘Unritten’ will debut at the MTV Movie & TV Awards later today over in California.
You can of course also catch it during the opening credits at the beginning of the first episode of the reboot on June 24.
For now, all we have is a small teaser in the video above! And by the sounds of it, it’s going to be GOOD!
