The Chase’s Mark Labbett has showcased his astonishing 20 kilogram weight loss!

Mark, who most would recognise as ‘The Beast’ on The Chase, looked thrilled as he showed off his newly slim figure during a pub quiz in North-East England.

Standing at 6 ft 5, and weighing 170 kilograms at his heaviest, the quiz king managed to drop the weight over a period of six months after cutting sugar and exercising.

His weight loss journey was kickstarted by his diabetes, with the 54-year-old admitting his inspiration came from a colleague.

“My colleague Paul Sinha also got the diagnosis and he rapidly lost two stone and he went from being diabetic to pre or non-diabetic.”

He added, “I’m waiting for my next check up and I’m hoping the figures are going to be better. I’m still eating very well – I’m just cutting out sugar because of the Type 2 diabetes.”

Another key factor of his weight loss was making sure he ate breakfast.

“The big secret, which somebody told me is the thing that all people who are very, very overweight have in common, is that they don’t eat breakfast”.

Good on you, Mark!
