Let’s be honest, public transport can be full of inconsiderate and annoying people. As someone who uses it nearly everyday, I’ve had my fair share of ‘encounters’.
Quite recently a woman sitting next to me on the train decided to just casually whip out her nail clippers and let her fingernail clippings fly left, right and centre – including onto my lap.
If you catch public transport, you’ll have your own special pet peeves. Whether it’s that person who takes up a whole seat with their bag, the persistent ‘sniffer’ or that couple who get on a packed tram and leave everyone feeling awkward because they can’t stop making out.
A recently study by Real Insurance Australian Commuter Survey asked 1000 Aussies about what their biggest pet peeves are on public transport.
The top three most irritating things have been revealed, and it turns out we have super low tolerance for the following three types of people on public transport:
1. The Germ Sharers
2. The Loudmouths
3. The Seat Hoggers.
