We love ourselves a good Little Mix tune and their latest, Shoutout To My Ex, is a straight-up stomper.
It’s your basic girl-getting-revenge-on-the-guy-who-dumped-her-through-music scenario, with the four girls moving on in sassy-pants style and pretty much winning at life.
But there’s one line – a line that Perrie sings with a lot of attitude – that calls out some super-bad bedroom time: “I hope she gettin’ better sex/ hope she ain’t fakin’ it like I did, babe.”
Perrie Edwards is not here for a sh*tty time in the sack.
Of course, everyone assumed it was a direct dig at Zayn Malik – so we were all-ears when The Sun took one for the team and asked if the girls were speaking from ~experience~.
“I think every girl has done that,” Perrie said first, before Leigh-Anne Pinnock added: “Sometimes you feel bad and don’t want them to feel awkward, so you just do it!”
Perrie chimed in again, then, saying: “It’s what every girl thinks and what every girl’s been through. We’re just saying it in a song.”
And then Leigh-Anne went for the jugular.
“Also, if your ex has been a bit of an arsehole, then it’s nice to belittle them!”
Tell us how you really feel, girls.
