We all remember years ago when Blake Garvey famously took his place as the first Australian Bachelor to propose to his ‘lucky lady’ at the end of his reign as the Bachelor.
However, it was not to last between Blake and Sam Frost – and it’s probably a good thing too, or she would never have lived through her heartbreak and gone on to meet her love, Sacha as the first ever Bachelorette.
Garvey famously ended his engagement to Frost in favour of Louise Pillage, who was his THIRD pick in the series. It’s okay, as long as he realised EVENTUALLY, right?
Well, sadly their love story was not to last. After 18 months together and three months of counselling, the love affair is no more.
The 33-year-old Perth auctioneer, who is still living with lifestyle blogger Louise, 28, told New Idea: ‘We were walking on eggshells around each other, always trying to say the right thing… ‘It was suffocating,’ he told the magazine in a teary interview.
He has explained to the magazine he is very upset over the split, spilling that the pair have been unhappy for some time.
Looking at their Instagram accounts, you wouldn’t have any idea there was even a slight problem, but as Blake explained, behind-the-scenes was a very different story.
Louise tells the magazine it was Blake’s decision to call it quits and admits she struggled to come to terms with the fact she was not his first choice, referring to Blake’s proposal to Sam Frost before changing his mind off the camera.

He went into hiding in Thailand and emerged giving Woman’s Day an exclusive interview revealing he was actually dating Louise after writing her a letter declaring his love and spelling out his mistake.
