Hollywood is mourning the death of Rip Torn, the actor best known for his roles as Artie on HBO’s ‘The Larry Sanders Show’ and Zed in ‘Men in Black’.

The highly respected Emmy winner and Oscar and Tony nominated actor died at his home in Lakeville, Connecticut, his representatives confirm. He was 88.

In a career spanning more than six decades, Rip Torn established himself as a versatile performer, appearing in 10 Broadway plays, over 80 films, and dozens of television shows.

Torn is survived by his wife Amy Wright, daughters Katie Torn and Angelica Page, and his grandchildren Elijah, Tana, Emeris and Hannah.
