Shamed Sydney Roosters’ player Mitchell Pearce is suddenly not alone in the controversy surrounding video of him simulating sexual acts with a dog, filmed on Australia Day. Teammates, both Queensland recruits, Dale Copley and Jayden Nikorima, were questioned this morning at the club’s HQ regarding their presence in the controversial video.
NewsCorp have revealed that the video shows the pair witnessing the event. Copley is visible in the footage, while Nikorima can be heard calling out to Pearce. While both are reportedly behaving appropriately, no players should have been present at the private home the events took place. They could both be facing a small fine for their presence.
The news comes after a response by Roosters coach Trent Robinson calling the behaviour ‘unacceptable’ and reassured the public that the club would be ‘going through’ the incident.
