Now with over 3000 confirmed cases of coronavirus across Australia, data has revealed the biggest hotspots for coronavirus in Victoria – and it turns out they are the wealthiest council areas.
In our state, Stonnington Council has been hit the hardest with 57 cases. This covers suburbs like South Yarra and Toorak.
This is followed by Mornington Peninsula with 36 cases, City of Melbourne with 32 and Borrondara with 29. It is thought City of Melbourne could be due to the number of students.
People who don’t live near these suburbs are still reminded to stay indoors and social distance as usual.
The Sydney council of Waverley has the most coronavirus cases than anywhere in Australia. It was forced to close Bondi Beach last week after thousands flocked to the area for a day in the sun.
