Remember watching Hi-5 when you were a kid? Well, original cast member Nathan Foley auditioned for The Voice on Sunday night, performing “Footloose” by Kenny Loggins!
Hi-5 first aired in 1999 on the Nine Network until 2008. It’s been eleven years since we’ve seen or heard from Nathan, who told Nine’s Artist Spotlight that he’s been working overseas non-stop for the last decade, but now he is BACK in Australia – determined to prove himself as a solo-artist.
“Primarily the reason why I wanted to do The Voice is because I bumped into a girl that grew up watching me on TV when I was a kid. She said, ‘Where have you been?’ I haven’t seen you for like ten years, have you given up on singing?’ And that really made the big decision in my head to get out there and say, ‘Look I’m still here’ and show who Nathan Foley really is.”
Hi-5 was everything back in the day, so seeing Nathan back on our screens is not only a blast of nostalgia but also a thrill to see someone not give up on themselves and their big dreams. Plus, he is still a major dreamboat and talented as hell.
