The loveable Wilbur from Mr Ed – the talking horse, has passed away aged 96.

The actor and comedian died of natural causes in his retirement community, surrounded by his children.

Who didn’t love watching Alan Young act as Wilbur in the 1960s TV cult classic ‘Mr Ed’.

The show was centred around a golden palomino horse that would only speak to his owner – Wilbur.

As well as his role in Mister Ed, Young also was a well-known actor and comedian, later becoming a voice over artist for shows such as Ducktales (voicing Scrooge McDuck for 65 episodes).
