A few photos have been filtering through over the last couple of days, of Miranda Kerr’s only sibling, Matty Kerr, tying the knot to his love, James Wright.
The pair tied the knot in the Hunter Valley at Nana Kerr’s Kitchen. In a beautiful twist, Miranda and Matty’s mum, Therese Kerr, officiated the ceremony.
Meet Mr and Mr Kerr Through the universal power of love that is and surrounds all of us, yesterday @mattykerr26 @jimmykerr2611 were married in front of 284 of their much loved and treasured family and friends in Australia. Even though Australia with its archaic beliefs does not yet recognize same sex marriage, in our eyes, in the eyes of Matty and Jimmy’s family and friends and by the law of the universe that overrides all, Matty and Jimmy are married and have started a new and beautiful life together. We don’t need an Australian Government or a law to tell us what love is or isn’t. #loveisourboys Love you both #mattyandjimmy #lovewins #wedecidedonforever
“It’s beautiful — I’m actually celebrant,” Therese Kerr told The Telegraph.
“We don’t need an Australian government or the law to tell us what love is.
“We are proud as punch.”
The groom’s supermodel sister flew in to the country with her fiance Evan Spiegel on Thursday, but there was no sign of Miranda’s son and Matty’s nephew, Flynn.
Miranda wore a beautiful floor-length white crochet-style dress, with her hair swept back into a bun and a beautiful flower crown on her head.
