Michelle Rodriguez plays one of the strongest women you could ever meet in the Fast and the Furious series, but the reality of her life is very, very different.
She’s recently revealed that the grief of her co-star, Paul Walker’s death in 2013 was fuelled by more than just sadness over his loss.
A clip that’s been posted on TMZ from a new documentary, The Reality of Truth, shows Rodriguez opening up about her feelings on Walker’s death.
She was allegedly under the influence of psychedelic drugs at the time.
“When I lost Paul, I went through a year of just being like an animal, like, what could I do, physically, to just get my mind off of existentialism? Get my mind off of how transient life is and how we just come here and can disappear at any moment,” she said. “How could I get my mind off that?”
She explained that she went “crazy, nuts, berserk-o” the summer after her close friend’s death.
She also discusses her regrets, which include being jealous that Paul Walker died before her.
It is believed that she had taken the psychedelic drugs weeks before the interview, but seemed to still be feeling the effects during the interview.
