If you’re a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Atlanta – or even our very own Melbourne, you’ll definitely be excited about this.
We figured it would only be a matter of time before a ‘Real Housewives of Sydney’ cast was rolled out, and according to a report on The Daily Telegraph, Foxtel already have a number of women they’re considering.
Confidential has confirmed that producers have held a series of secret casting calls around town, with several high profile women being considered to appear in the Sydney version of the popular series.
“The huge success of the Real Housewives Of Melbourne makes it a no brainer to consider a Sydney version of the series,” a Foxtel spokesperson told Confidential.
Some names being considered include Skye Leckie, wife of media boss David, former model Michelle Walsh, who is married to Chadwicks modelling owner Martin and Christa Billich, partner of controversial painter Charles.
Also I’ve heard I’ve been on the list since day one but I don’t know, you’ve caught me unawares,” Leckie said when contacted yesterday.
Apparently Billich is good friends with Melbourne housewives, Gamble Breaux and Gina Liano, which could leave room for a state crossover – and could undoubtedly help to introduce Sydney’s line-up to Melbourne’s already existing fan base.
“I would love to do it because I think I can show my other side,” Christa told Confidential.
“People think I’m gentle and soft but I do have a side of me that is perfect for the Housewives. As we know, bitches are made, not born, and I can be a bitch.”
Gordana Willesee-Poljak, make-up and cosmetic tattooist and former wife of TV journalist Mike Willesee is also believed to be a favourite.
“I’m considering it,” Willesee-Poljak said.
“If the opportunity has come to me, it has come to me for a reason and I think it could be a fantastic random opportunity to help me live an even straighter life because I’ll be on show.”
Other contenders include Lisa Oldfield, wife of former One Nation politician, David, hairdresser Jo Bailey’s business partner Marilyn Koch, former model Amanda Cameron and business woman Kirsten Carriol.
