They may have found fame in Australia on a reality show, and yes one of them has even been compared to the Kardashian’s, but does that really mean that Married At First Sight’s Jess and Martha could successfully create their own reality show?
According to reports in NW, MAFS besties Jessika Power and Martha Kalifatidis are looking at starting their own reality show, similar to the one that brought Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie to fame, The Simple Life.
“They’re shopping around the idea of them doing a Simple Life-style show, travelling around Australia, doing odd jobs and mingling with country folk,” a source told the publication.
It’s reported that Jess is the mastermind behind the concept, and she reportedly came up with the idea following her homestay with her OG MAFS husband Mick Gould in Gympie, Queensland.
During the stay, Jessika was thrown out of her comfort zone into the farming lifestyle, as she was given jobs to do around the property, like feeding the animals, herding sheep and driving a tractor.
Martha and Jess have been inseparable during their time on MAFS, with the pair having each other’s backs and defending each other through thick and thin.
Martha even helped keep Jessika’s secret affair with intruder Daniel Webb a secret and defended her friend when the secret was exposed during Sunday night’s commitment ceremony.
“Well, it’s the risk you take when you sign up to do it, mate,” Martha said to a visibly upset Mick. “So stop saying it’s a waste of your time.”
Jess and Martha also quickly earned themselves the title of ‘Mean Girls’ on this show, so it definitely begs to question whether anyone would actually be interested in watching a reality show dedicated to just them.
So we don’t reaaaalllly think anyone would actually sign on to create the show with them. But if they do, we can say without a doubt that we’d definitely be switching channels…
