Before you write her off as just another Kardashian reality star with no idea about the real world, give Kylie Jenner a chance.
The youngest Kardashian/Jenner offspring just turned the ripe old age of 18 – and after rumours that she was getting paid $100,000 to attend her own birthday, Kylie went and surprised us all by doing something we don’t tend to see a lot from the Kardashians – giving back to charity.
Kylie kicked off her 18th birthday celebrations by popping into Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles and showered the unwell kids with gifts of their own.
They scored gift bags filled with kidney-friendly lollies, headphones, blankets and Rob Kardashian sock – among other things.
Kylie also reportedly stuck around to create friendship bracelets with them and then handed out disposable cameras to them all – because who better to learn how to take the perfect selfie with?
“It was all Kylie’s idea,” a source told Us Weekly. “She feels so lucky to be able to celebrate her birthday the way that she gets to, she wanted to give back to other people in need.”
After that it was straight to Japanese restaurant Nobu in Malibu, where she swapped her jeans and tee for a figure-hugging white dress and blonde ‘do? (huh? That was quick!) and something else iconic happened – Kris and Caitlyn got their first ever SELFIE together!
