In case you weren’t aware, The Veronicas are BACK BABY!
The girls dropped a new song, ‘Think Of Me’ today and we played it first here on the Kyle and Jackie O show this morning!
But for a while there we didn’t think that we would ever see new music from twin sisters Jess and Lisa Origliasso again!
Rumours of a feud between the pair surfaced in 2017 during the time that Australia was campaigning for marriage equality and largely involved Jess’ then girlfriend Ruby Rose.
Thankfully, that feud is completely done and dusted according to the girls, as they spoke about the awful time during their chat with Kyle and Jackie O this morning.
Well, it is between them at least… With Ruby Rose? Maybe not so much as the girls appeared to throw a bit of shade her way during the chat.
“What’s been going on?” Jackie asked as The Veronicas walked in studio.
“Oh my god, they weren’t even friends not that long ago,” Kyle said. “Remember there was the big feud?”
In case you missed it, the feud between Jess and Lisa appeared to begin in November 2017 Aussie model and actress Ruby Rose called out Lisa for being unsupportive of her relationship with Jess following the ‘yes’ vote to gay marriage in Australia.
“So glad to see Lisa Origliasso screaming in excitement about the yes vote after telling us she thinks we should feel ‘lucky’ we don’t get stoned to death like they do in other countries and to get over it a few months ago… Really warms my heart,” Rose wrote in a since-deleted Tweet.
Jess appeared to support Ruby’s message with a post that has also since been deleted.
“I may not have struggled with an inner turmoil, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t struggled with people close to me, degrading my sexuality because of their own personal judgments or ignorance,” she wrote.
“People can publicly support the LGBT community, but behind closed doors inflict deep pain because of their own inability to accept or understand you as a part of that community.
“That can be a particularly difficult and heartbreaking experience. But one that has been a private and real struggle in my life.”
The pair even reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram, with rumours rising that their girl group could break up altogether.
Thankfully, that never happened, but it certainly wasn’t an easy time. Jess and Lisa spoke about just how difficult it was for them during their interview with Kyle and Jackie.
“We read that there was a feud and that you guys weren’t talking,” Kyle said. “But it was real right? There was a problem there for a while.”
“I know if that had been a publicity stunt it would’ve been a lot easier to manage,” Jess said.
“No, we just had to work out a few things that were happening in my life personally.”
“So Jess it was your fault?” Kyle joked.
“Yeah totally my fault. First time in the history of our township honestly, it’s been my fault,” Jess continued.
This is when Lisa chimed in and appeared to throw a bit of shade Ruby Rose’s way.
“Definitely not YOUR fault Jessie,” she said plainly, with DEFINITE emphasis on the word ‘your’, implying that someone else involved in the feud was at fault. (i.e Jess’ ex GF).
Jess and Ruby went on to announce their split in April last year and she has since moved on with a new man!

Lastnight we got talking about LGBTQ friendly holiday destinations. It’s something that always plays in the forefront of my mind when travelling on work, or holiday. Sadly not everyone and not everywhere is LGBTQ safe or friendly. Or sometimes a place can be safe, but doesn’t show the equal consideration & awareness that creates a truly relaxing experience. Steve and Jade who own and run @nightfallcamp have always shown the most beautiful & considered experiences, ensuring absolute comfort, privacy and freedom, from start to end. So grateful to start my new year here with such wonderful souls and allies🌈 ❤️💜🧡💛💚💙
