Kim Kardashian makes more money on one Instagram post than a lot of people will ever see in their lifetime.
As TMZ reports, the reality television star rakes in $1 million per Instagram post. That figure has raised discussion because Kim recently filed a lawsuit against Missguided USA clothing company, a fast fashion brand, for using her image to promote knockoff versions of some of her most iconic looks.
She had threatened the company with a lawsuit back in February, and after it reportedly did not respond she sued the brand for $5 million in damages.
The documents obtained by TMZ state that the influencer makes between $300,000 and $500,000 per post, though an industry source later stated the larger number and said her legal team will probably re-file the docs.
The same docs also state that Kim frequently turns down those insane paychecks because she doesn’t want to be associated with the brands, and that’s part of her argument in this lawsuit. She claims being associated with Missguided is ruining her brand.
Though she has a legal team behind her, the 38-year-old is becoming more well-versed in law herself. Kim recently revealed that she’s studying to become a lawyer and hopes to take the bar exam in 2022.
