Twelve-year-old Sophia Petikas has been given the ultimate farewell from hospital staff on her last day of treatment.
Diagnosed with scoliosis as a child, the girl who loves to dance was forced to wear a brace for 23 hours a day.
Then two year ago an MRI discovered Sophia had a large tumor growing on her spinal cord. Despite a major operation to remove it, just a year later tests revealed it had returned.
Following radiation treatment, hospital staff decided to surprise Sophia with a flashmob performing her favourite dance – The Nene.
In tribute to the brave teen, the team even donned their sunnies and Chuck Taylor’s.
