Remember back in January when Netflix’s ‘FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened’ dropped? Do you recall another similar documentary being released at around the same time in America?
That would be Hulu’s ‘Fyre Fraud’, which is finally premiering in Australia this Sunday.
Fyre Fraud focuses on one of the biggest con-men of the last decade, Billy MacFarland. While its Netflix counterpart focused more on the festival, this one features exclusive interviews with MacFarland, alongside commentary from legal and cultural experts.
For those unaware, the Fyre Festival was the defining scam of the millennial generation.
Marketing for the 2017 music event went viral with the help of rapper Ja Rule, Instagram stars, and models, but turned epic fail after stranding thousands in the Bahamas.
Fyre Fraud premieres this Sunday at 9:30pm on Channel Seven.
