For as long as Taylor Swift has been Queen of the world (apologies Beyonce), there have been rumours that she and Harry Styles have been on again, then off again and then finally – that every song with a negative connotation is about him.
However, even though Taylor has always maintained that she’d “never name names” with her song subjects, many believe that her new song, “Out of the Woods” is definitely about him, due to the subtle hints throughout the song and the corresponding video clip.
Fans have pointed out these four theories all over social media and we have to say that after gathering all of the evidence (ESPECIALLY number three), we’re kinda convinced too.
1. The date she chose to release the video
New Year’s Rockin’ Eve Show in Times Square was the time and place she chose, and many think it could be due to the fact she and Harry were caught kissing there publicly at midnight three years earlier.
2. The blue dress she wore

So get this, Harry and Tay Tay were last pictured together on New Year’s Day in 2013, they were on the British Islands on holiday (kind of like he and Kendall very recently). It is believed they were broken up then, leaving Taylor alone on a boat in a little blue dress that strongly resembles the one she wore in the video clip.
3. The necklace she rips off

The necklace originally appears in the “Style” video (also thought to be about Harry), but this time she tosses it. Check out Harry Styles WEARING IT! In the song she sings, “Two paper airplanes, flying, flying…” #OMG
4. The way she finishes the song
When “I Knew You Were Trouble” was released (… also thought to be about Harry), Taylor talks about losing herself in the beginning. In “Out of the Woods”, she finishes with her finding herself again.
