It’s undeniably one of the biggest and most watched shows on television right now, but that doesn’t mean it gets everything right.
A misplaced Starbucks cup appeared to undermine the credibility of the most recent Game of Thrones episode.
Let’s just say that we’re almost positive that the international coffee chain does not exist in the world of Westeros.
Understandably, the gaffe was not lost on eagle-eyed viewers, who promptly expressed their annoyance on social media.
“They really took 2 years to make 6 episodes and left a Starbucks cup in a scene,” one fan wrote.
Another added, “If that’s Dany’s Starbucks coffee I feel bad for the barista who has to write her name on the cup…. hand must be cramping.”
Oh yes that was definitely a Starbucks cup in #GameOfThrones pic.twitter.com/l6V9G3udzN

No spoilers but was there not a *weird* ass camera pan early in tonight’s episode? I know this was prolly the ep with no budget, but like, do another take. (Also I love every single person – cast and crew – who brought this show to our lives, even that camera op. Carry on.)
