Here’s a question for you:

Would you be happy for your 19-month-old daughter to be dressed up in lipstick, hairpieces and leotards, performing at pageants to Beyonce’s “single ladies”?

That’s what Bobbi Boyden is doing.

The child star and “diva” struts her stuff on stage to the hit Beyonce song, blowing kisses to the audience and swinging her hips at pageants.

Bobbi also screams and throws tantrums when she has to leave the stage.

“Bobbi’s like a little Beyonce, a little madam really,” Bobbi’s mum Stephanie said.

“She loves the attention of being up on stage and she screams to get up there. She’s definitely a diva. I have to hold her back.

“We were looking for some music for the talent round of the competition and my friend suggested ‘Single Ladies’ because, like Beyonce, Bobbi loves to dance.”

“She shakes her bum and she just thoroughly enjoys it, and that’s the best part for me – just seeing her happy.”

Stephanie has spent in excess of $9000 to dress Bobbi in her pageant costumes, justifying it with this:

“You can’t put a price on the look on her face when she’s on stage in her costumes.”

“She does wear wigs and crowns and fancy dresses but I don’t give her spray tans or cake her in makeup – I’ll wait until she’s about five for that.

“For now she wears a dab of lipstick and nail varnish.”

Each to their own we say, but Stephanie is getting slammed for the treatment of her toddler, with many mums and anti-pageant groups expressing their dismay in the mature moves and outfits Bobbi is decked out in.

Do you think she’s too young?
